TASTING NOTES
Taste is more than flavor. It is the full conversation between glass, nose, mouth, and memory. Here, we break each spirit into four parts:
AROMA
Dried fruit, orange peel, buttery toffee, vanilla, almond, cinnamon, floral malt, and soft oak.
PALATE
Dark chocolate, butterscotch, ripe orchard fruit, dried apricot, orange, vanilla cream, toasted almond, and mellow spice.
FINISH

STRAIGHT TALK
Chivas Regal 18 is where the Chivas line starts to feel more serious. It still has the smooth, approachable house style, but the extra age brings better depth and texture. It is not a smoke-driven Scotch. It is not a bruiser. It is a polished blend for people who want richness without sharp edges. The only caution is price. If someone expects single-malt intensity, they may find it too controlled. If they want elegant blended Scotch, it lands well.
THE MIX
From a culinary-pairing standpoint, Chivas 18 works with orange peel, roasted apple, pear, dried apricot, almond, walnut, hazelnut, dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, black tea, espresso, caramel, and lightly smoked salt. Its darker notes also pair well with roasted mushrooms, aged cheese, glazed pork, and nut-based desserts. The Jazz Chef angle: this is malt, fruit, chocolate, and spice moving in a polished old-club rhythm.

Chivas Regal 18 was created to show more complexity within that polished style, using older stocks to deepen the blend without losing the brand’s soft, balanced character.
