This Japanese version of curry has all the main spices with the reduction of cumin, cayenne, ginger, and black pepper. The result is a clean-tasting curry powder with a focus on ginger and turmeric flavors.
CULINARY GEOGRAPHY
Curry originates from India, and was introduced to Japan during the Meiji era (1868–1912) by the British, at a time when India was under the colonial rule of the British Raj.
