Product Description

PURPOSE

WHAT IS IT?

The nora chile is a fat round chile in the bell pepper family, (technically not in the chile family (Capsicum annuum). It has a glossy wrinkled flesh that is dark red to near black. The heat of the chile is very mild with a slight sweetness and barely any spice.

EXPERIENCE

The flavor is subtle, sweet and earthy with aromas of campfire and dry heat. There is virtually no spice on this chili, which makes it an excellent introductory pepper to try if you’re not comfortable with the chile side of the culinary world.

CULINARY GEOGRAPHY

The Nora pepper is popular in Spanish cuisine, especially along the coast of Spain. The tiny bell pepper originated in the Valencia Region of Guardamar, where most of the production continues.
