Seedlip Notas de Agave is a non‑alcoholic distilled spirit inspired by tequila-style flavors. The palate unfolds with smooth vanilla, floral damiana, and a mild peppercorn warmth balanced by lively citrus and agave notes . Despite its tequila-like essence, it contains less than 0.05% ABV and contains no alcohol, making it a clever and sophisticated zero-proof option.
TASTING NOTES
Taste is more than flavor. It is the full conversation between glass, nose, mouth, and memory. Here, we break each spirit into four parts:
AROMA
Lime zest, prickly pear, green agave flavor, vanilla, soft florals, peppercorn, and a faint desert-herb note.
PALATE
Zesty lime, prickly pear fruit, agave-style sweetness, vanilla, damiana flower, citrus pith, and mild pepper warmth.
FINISH
Short to medium, citrus-led, lightly peppery, and dry, with lingering lime, agave flavor, vanilla, and faint floral bitterness.
TEXTURE
Very light, clean, and thin, with citrus and pepper giving it snap, but not much natural body.
Seedlip Notas de Agave delivers a bright zero-proof profile built around lime, prickly pear, agave flavor, vanilla, damiana flower, and peppercorn. It has more desert-fruit personality than Grove 42 and more peppery warmth than Garden 108, but it still carries the Seedlip body problem: good aroma, clean flavor map, light finish, and very little weight.
STRAIGHT TALK
Notas de Agave is a smart idea. Lime, prickly pear, agave, vanilla, and peppercorn all belong in the same desert-adjacent conversation. The bottle gives you the sketch: citrus, fruit, floral green notes, pepper snap, and a suggestion of agave.
The limitation is structure. Without alcohol or sugar, it cannot bring the heat, weight, or earthy agave depth that tequila brings. That does not make it useless. It means the bottle needs help from acidity, bubbles, salt, herbs, or bitterness. Alone, it feels like a well-dressed idea. Built properly, it can carry a clean zero-proof rhythm.

A DISTILLER’S TALE
Seedlip was founded by Ben Branson in the U.K. and became one of the first major brands built around distilled non-alcoholic spirits. Diageo later took a majority stake in the company, which moved Seedlip from niche-bar curiosity into broader global distribution. Notas de Agave was introduced in late 2023 as a newer expression built around prickly pear, lime, and agave flavors.
The concept is clear: Seedlip wanted a zero-proof bottle that could live near margarita, paloma, and ranch-water territory without claiming to be tequila. The lime gives lift. The prickly pear gives color. The agave note gives direction. The peppercorn gives it a little dust on the boots.
MY TAKE
Seedlip Notas de Agave is clever, bright, and probably one of Seedlip’s most useful flavor concepts. Lime, prickly pear, agave flavor, vanilla, damiana, and peppercorn give it a clean map. The weakness is the usual zero-proof problem: thin body. With citrus, salt, bubbles, and spice, it works. Alone, it is more sketch than painting, but the sketch has style.
